Making Progress – A Special Thanks Post

New feature release
wrote this on January 12, 2012 / no comments

A big thank you goes out to all of our fantastic Early Beta User Group participants. We have been making incredible improvements since our last feature release that would not have been possible without them, and I’d like to highlight just a few of those.

  • International Time Zones / Date & Time Formats

Finally! A major request from our friends outside the United States was the ability to set their time zones so date and time can be viewed in other time formats! Now, users will be able set and change the way that their dates and times are displayed (from MM/DD/YYYY to DD/MM/YYYY and AM/PM to the 24-hour format). Thanks Louis, Noerman, and Robert!

  • Linking Existing

Many of you, and rightfully so, have asked for the ability to add emails, actions, and more to exiting project(s). We’ve answered your request and have improved on it!  Now in IQTELL, you’ll be able to add any entry type to another existing entry.

The basics will be configured for you already – e.g., adding emails and actions to existing projects; adding emails to existing actions – but the sky is the limit. With IQTELL, if you have an idea, share it with us and we’ll tackle it together.  A special thanks to Grace, Louis, and Ian!

  • Calendar Syncing

One of the most highly requested features from our Beta users was the ability to connect a Google and Yahoo Calendar to their IQTELL account. It’s still one we’re working on carefully at the moment – we can see the light!  (Exchange calendar support will be coming soon).

This will not be your standard synch; within IQTELL, you’ll actually be able to pull all of your calendars into one super calendar.

  • GTD Inbox

For our GTD users, we were happy to implement a GTD Inbox where you can add items as they come to mind and deal with each item individually at a later time, now available on our iPhone app as well. Thanks Robert!

  • Evernote Anyone?

This is perhaps the most widely anticipated feature. It’s something we have not seen anywhere else!  Evernote is one of the best applications we’ve seen; and many of our users are also Evernote users.

We hope to release this feature by the end of January 2012. You will be able to view, modify and access all of your Evernote notebooks and notes within IQTELL with real time synchronization. Users will be able to leverage IQTELL’s functionality on Evernote notes, adding reminders, calendar events, actions, projects, and more! Thanks to Ian and Stewart!

We are still working on some other highly requested features, such as keyboard shortcuts, tagging, and dashboard customization. We greatly appreciate all of the excellent feedback, so keep it coming! If you have any questions, suggestions, feedback (good or otherwise), feel free to let us know!

You can also follow us and get updates via our Facebook Page or our Twitter account. See you there :)
